After
almost seemingly disappearing from the planet, bedbugs are making a
reappearance and a resurgence that is frightening, and which has caused
some legitimate concern.
There is an explosive epidemic of bedbug infestations in an increasing number of urban (densely-populated
areas), and in an increasing number of hotels and motels where there is
a significant amount of guest turnover and an sneaky means for these
sneaky little parasites to hitch a free ride to their next infestation destination.
The
good news is that these pests don't generally carry diseases -- the bad
news is that the bites, which can occur on any exposed part of the
body, can be itchy or sometimes even a bit painful. Scratching at these
welts (where the insects have sucked out some blood) can most definitely
be a secondary source of bacterial or other infection. Read more about what you can do to avoid infestations, prevent infestations, and clean out a bedbug infestation. Please read more...
