Palestine: Politics, Propaganda And Symbols Versus Reality

Palestinians are celebrating their recognition of sovereign statehood by The United Nations. But can politics, propaganda, labeling and symbolic gestures take the place of dealing with a situation that exists in reality? There are real conflicts which are still completely unaddressed... issues which require that the actual parties involved either negotiate directly and civilly, or explode in further violence -- perhaps even worse than ever before.
